On a strange and distant planet a traveler crash lands and is greeted by a mysterious tree, which is the life force of the planet. The visitor must navigate the environment and tend to the emotions of the Mother Tree to find their way home.

I was the lighting artist for Vertex School's student project, Sky's Hollow. The magical environment is set at twilight, which allowed us to take advantage of emissive assets. This makes the environment feel alive and connected to the Mother Tree. The clusters of glowing foliage created natural light sources to lead the player, which I used to bring more light to a dark environment. Particles and fog also brighten the level and adds a mystical feeling.
